![]() It’s the best option for my group because none of us live near each other, I’m talking 1+ hours is the closest two of us are and the rest are farther. Wild magic surge on a fail? Who knows, I feel like there’s something cool that would work well. Maybe come up with a bigger list and roll each day for what they get? Or add some feature where they can try to cast any spell with a spell casting check (like counterspell) to see if it works. ![]() I haven’t had a wild magic sorcerer yet, not sure what I would do for origin spells. RAW sorcerers feel like they can only pick 2 of the 3. Without that I feel like their low spells known number makes it really hard to pick thematic spells, run spells, and strong spells. The origin spells in particular are a must IMO. These 2 home rules really make sorcerer unique, fun, and more competitive with Wizard. I have some default options for each subclass but usually work with the player to pick thematic spells they like, fire spells for red draconic sorcerer, bless for a good divine soul, bane for evil, etc. I also give all sorcerers 2 extra origin spells know per spell level 1-5 (like aberrant and clockwork sorcerer). Their innate magic gives them all this flexibility other classes don’t, to cast spells of all levels with freedom and lots of metamagic for even more flexibility. The points in this one pool (spell+sorcery points) can be used for metamagic using the numbers set in the metamagic option itself, or can be used to cast spells using the rates set in the variant spell points rule. The simplicity of one pool is necessary when it’s a new system for most players. Plus it removes the need to do conversions. That’s one reason why I combine them into one pool when I DM. Sorcerers could use the (frankly small) buff. Please instead reply in the ongoing threads rather than making new ones.įeel free to add to the community resource folder and the resource list. Also its never a bad idea to play with nice people. From big to small, practically every guild is looking for active players. They can give you advice on where to spend wisely, most of the packs offered are not worth going into, but good ones pop up from time to time. In case you get impatient and decide to spend Money to speed things up a bit – do yourself a favor and join a guild with experienced players first. Elyse and Sam are the most commonly used heroes, focus on those first. It all takes a lot of time, that’s normal. Grey is fine, you lose only a little bit of dust with them, so play with those and blue cards as you get them. You just have to hang in there and grind away as good as you can, playing on whatever map node you can make some progress, revisiting old maps to get more stars on nodes, try to unlock the 7 star reward cards and get some more punching power in your deck.ĭon't quad green cards, you'll dust them soon enough, but at a loss. 2 Days is no time at all, and you’ll have to play quite a bit before your deck starts getting some traction of its own. That being said, its been years since I was new to the game, but the start is a rough one. You'll be better served with the Kongregate forums.
